Antique Shopping- Place Monge

One day on my way to class, I pop out of the metro station and there is a small but adorable antique market! With everything from intricate silverware, to old longchamp bags, this market was like a hidden treasure chest lost inside a sea of busy streets. Just one of the countless reasons Paris never ceases to take you by surprise.

First Dinner in Paris

After a long week of looking at countless apartments, we found a place to call our (temporary) home!
It's been a couple of weeks now since we moved in and I thought it would be fun to put up a short clip. I have been using an application on my iphone called Miniatures, it takes a picture every couple of seconds and converts it into a video, so the finished product is like a stop motion clip. I was playing around with it and thought I would show you our first dinner as official roommates in our offical new "flat"!

Rue Mouffetard first drinks

Our first week in Paris was quite stressful, we were on the search for an apartment and it proved to be a nearly impossible task in this big city. After one long day of calling people on ads and going to see incredibly tiny apartments, we decided to relax and go to Rue Mouffetard for our first official drinks in France!

Eiffel Tower Stroll

I've dreamed about it a million times and seen pictures from all different angles, but nothing prepares you for the moment when you see the Eiffel Tower with your own eyes. It is absolutely beautiful, and in no way overrated. We arrived when the sun was setting, so we saw it in the daylight, lighting up, and then sparkling. Here are some pics from the walk heading towards and at the Eiffel Tower!

Couldn't help but get a cheesy photo of me and the Eiffel Tower.

Joyeuse Saint-Valentin

So far so bad. I've done a bad job in trying to update my blog while I'm here studying in Paris. Paris is a wonderful, exciting, and mesmerizing city. There are countless things to do and see, I really feel like I'm in the center of the universe and I would love nothing more than to share my experiences with you. I will try my hardest to document my adventures, starting by going back and showing some older pictures from when I arrived around 3 and a half weeks ago.

But first, let me show you yesterday- Valentine's Day. Paris, known as the city of love and lights, hardly shows any trace of this holiday dedicated to romance. Here, everyday is the day to show your love. Valentine's Day would go by almost unnoticed here, if not for their delicious pastries :)

Hope you had a lovely Valentine's Day!
