Mother's Day- Botanical Gardens

Mother's Day is a wonderful holiday where mothers can feel special and recognized for all their hard work. Although we might not always say how grateful we are to have them, Mother's Day helps us to express our gratitude for our mother's unconditional love. This Sunday, my mom wanted to check out the Naples Botanical Gardens, and we were overwhelmed with how beautiful it was. Pictures below!

Photo Booth Madness

Ahhh! I can't believe I forgot to put these pictures up! Oh well, better late than never! I love taking pictures of everything and everyone, but it is sooo much fun to take pictures with everyone together! We went sort of crazy at the photo booth that Gainesville Fashion Week set up during the art show in April!

Gala for the Arts

Another event included in Gainesville Fashion Week was the Gala for the Arts. The event was comprised of: a silent auction which included the art pieces from Wednesday's art show, designs by Jacquelyn Brooks, an art competition & exhibit, dancing, and dinner. Although I didn't actually attend, my friend, Andres Farfan (click to see his website!), who is a professional photographer, was able to get stunning pictures from this amazing event! Gainesville Fashion Week

This week is the annual "Gainesville Fashion Week", where local fashion designers get a chance to showcase their unique and trendy designs! The beginning of the week starts with a local art gala, in which my sister, Lucía, put up some of her art work! :) The art event brought in all of the designers, models, artists, musicians, make up artists, event planners, stylists, and organizers involved! It's official: Spring time is here!

As we officially welcome spring into our lives, we welcome not only the warmer weather, but longer nights, beach trips, barbecue's, bright flowers, and warm smiles :) Spring is a time for relaxation and beauty, and I'm grateful that it's all around.

Bonjour Printemps!

So as all Floridians know, the weather can be sort of bipolar. One day it is so freezing you can't have enough sweaters on, but then the next day it is so hot you will sweat with pants on! As us students try to find a happy medium every day, it becomes a bit of a hassle. However these last few days have been absolutely perfect. Spring is close by, and it seems like the cold air is quickly drifting away. I can only hope that the days remain this perfect, and that we can say goodbye to our coats and scarves!
